The process for making stained glass suncatchers, small window panels and lamps are all made using the foil method. The first step is to pick your glass colors and either trace or glue your pattern pieces onto your glass. Using a hand held glass cutter and running pliers, you cut out your pieces. Next step involves using a glass grinder to smooth out the edges of each piece to fit perfectly together. once done, Clean and dry each piece then foil all edges using copper foil tape. Once foiled, using a 60/40 solder, you solder all pieces together. Clean, patina, wax and enjoy!
